Our minds are officially blown.
Wow! If you were at the Easter With MyMythos event, you'll have seen the roughly 1,000 people that came through! My wife, Tosha, and I are just blown away by the attendance.
The last time we held an Easter event, it was about 300 people and we considered that a huge success, so you our jaws were on the floor this time.
What Happened at The Event?
• We tossed out 8,000 candy and toy filled eggs for hundreds and hundreds of kiddos. For free!!
• We had beautiful colorful booths for my new book Mythic Color where I gave away free magic color crystals to every child and parent that came by.
• The Easter Bunny showed up and took pictures with everyone. Post them and tag us, because we'd love to see them ❤️ .
• Arrow Coffee & Desserts provided hundreds of delicious delights for everyone.
• The Spaghetti Factory handed out hundreds of coupons for free kids meals.
• Miss J entertained all with facepainting and balloon creations.
• And Christine Ause brought her wonderful crochet creatures.
Clearly this is something we should make a tradition of, and it doesn't have to end with Easter. Tosha and I are already brainstorming events for the summer and beyond.
Of course none of this happens without a lot of really hard work. If you saw Tosha managing chaos out in the field, you'll know exactly what I mean ? .
That's not even counting how much really physical labor goes into making all those eggs, and hauling them around with all our other equipment. Phew! We are sore all over, especially from smiling ? .
And there is growing pains. In all honesty, we did not expect such a huge turnout! So the fact is we were understaffed, and I'd like to apologize for that. As a husband and wife team, we are learning and evolving our approach to make every minute of our events more fun, exciting, and safe for all.
