What I love most about this ritual is how fast, easy, and effective it is. Need to go for a run? Finish an assignment? If your task is something you have trouble just starting, this is the ritual for you.

Count down from 3 and go! That’s it.

Three, two, one, get up and just do it. You think it’s silly now, but wait until you do it a handful of times and your brain is trained to accept the process.

Add your own flair to it as you wish. One variation you can try is to slam your hands on your lap or desk after the countdown, just to give that extra physical shove for your body and mind to get the idea “We are doing thisĀ now“.
