Morality is Gray

Morality is Gray

Many believe (I think mistakenly) that ethics are always black and white. This stems from the belief that good and evil are objective, real things. They aren’t. The second you pluck humans out of the equation of the cosmos you realize that good and evil are merely concepts, little wisps of imagination exchanged between people who live, pass the wisps on to others, and then die.

The universe cares nothing for the lion who eats its young.

Morality is not without purpose or meaning. But it is not black and white.
